We have our general ledger cost of sales & inventory accounts split between items that go into making concrete or items that are simply resold. When comparing book $ to physical inventory $, I would have to download the current version of the inventory valuation report to excel & manually make the report the way I want it each month. It is currently sorted by location and then by item code.
Release in our 2019.3.1 release:
Inventory Valuation:
Added ability to filter report based on Category Codes
Report is now grouped by location and then by category
Added Category Cost and Quantity totals to report
Added new Category Summary report page which displays Quantity and Cost totals
Cursor now changes when report is processing
Debbie,
Would you mind to attach an example or send it to me via email (jodell@commandalkon.com)? I will enter a new request for this item. Thank you.
Janeen
Sounds good Janeen. I'm also wondering if a gl report can be done for all of the inventory transactions. It would be similar to the gl sales report. I create my own gl reports in Excel in regards to inventory transfers and issues.
Hi Debbie,
This item has been scheduled for completion in our next quarter which ends 9/30/19. I will update you as this progresses. When we get closer, I may reach out to demo the changes to you. Thanks.
Janeen
Debbie,
Thank you for getting back to me with the additional details. I will review with the team to get a feel for the level of difficulty and from there we can make a decision on how to move forward. I will let you know where things end up.
Thank you.
Hi Janeen:
I would like it sorted by category code where I can select which category codes I want to run. I don't believe we have separate product lines do we? I have not seen that. Our previous system had product lines.
Yes, after I've selected what category codes, I would also like to be able to select it by individual plant or all plants. So there would be subtotals of each category code and then a grand total at the end for the location and category codes I've selected.
It doesn't have to be fancy. I can manage without headers.
I would also like the same ability with the cost of goods sold report.
Thank-you for your time!
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for taking time to write up an enhancement request. I'd like to gather a few more details from you.
Thanks,
Janeen O'Dell
